Iggy Monda
Iggy Monda is a freelance digital journalist born and raised in New York City. Well-versed in writing, videography, photography, and podcasting, Monda has a career that has taken him into the newsrooms and offices of MS NOW, Feet in 2 Worlds, Religion of Sports, Yahoo Finance, CBS & CBS Sports, NBC’s Today.com, Overtime, LAVA Magazine, and The Sports Post.
Iggy most notably developed, reported on, produced, and hosted the six-episode narrative series, Roughhousing, on hazing in high school sports programs for PRX and Religion of Sports. He hosted and produced Feet in 2 Worlds’ series on the intersection between climate change and immigration called Home, Interrupted. He is currently a Producer on MS NOW’s Audio team, working on shows such as Clock It, Why is This Happening, The Best People, Main Justice, and The Blueprint. And he was a Research Producer on Apple’s flagship MLS show, Offside with Taylor Twellman.
Outside of the journalism world, he performs stand-up comedy in New York City and previously donned the doorman suit at 1010 and 5th Avenue.
Monda hates writing his own bio page but loves working on human-interest stories, particularly in the sports world. Into sports (obviously), film & entertainment and everything on a Jamaican menu.
